Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to sell 19-year-old Italian midfield sensation Cesare Casadei to Chelsea in the ongoing transfer window.

According to a report by Italian publication Tuttosport, as relayed by Sempre Inter, Inter Milan are prepared to offload promising midfielder Cesare Casadei as they try to fix their financial issues and avoid selling first-team players. Young striker Andrea Pinamonti is another player who can be sold in the ongoing transfer window, with Sassuolo showing serious interest.

Cesare Casadei joined the Inter Milan youth setup in the 2018 summer transfer window and has risen through the ranks to play for the Primavera team, for whom he has made 65 appearances across all competitions, scoring 24 goals and assisting seven times. The 19-year-old has done well in the UEFA Youth League as well, scoring thrice in nine matches.

Though he is yet to make a senior appearance for Inter, Casadei is highly rated but does not feature in the Nerazzurri’s plans going forward. This is why the Serie A giants are ready to offload the Italian midfield sensation, with Chelsea reportedly exploring a deal.

The Blues were recently preparing a fresh offer for the 19-year-old midfielder as they continue talks with Inter Milan for the midfield sensation. The Italian club reportedly rate Casadei at around €15 million, which should not be a problem for Chelsea to pay.

The west London giants are interested in completing a permanent move Casadei, who is also attracting interest from other Italian clubs. But Inter Milan are prepared to allow him to move to the Premier League by joining Chelsea.

Chelsea have two ageing midfielders in their ranks in N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, both of whom have entered the final year of their respective contracts at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are thus keen to freshen things up, and Casadei will add some much-needed depth and young legs to the midfield.

Inter Milan want to close out things quickly as the coaching staff want stability and a clear idea of which players will be at their disposal for the 2022/23 season. So a move to Chelsea could be on the cards for the 19-year-old Italian midfield sensation.
