La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly on the verge of signing 19-year-old Spanish attacking sensation on a free transfer this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Andres Garcia is the latest prodigious prospect to bolster the Real Madrid youth and reserve ranks. The 19-year-old Spanish attacking sensation is arriving at the club after the expiration of his Valencia contract, with the deal “signed and completed”.

Andres Garcia has spent most of his formative years in the Valencian Community, with Valencia CF training him for the last half a decade. A striker by trade, the teenage prodigy has garnered a solid reputation in age-group football in the last few years.

So when the 19-year-old attacking sensation departed from Valencia as a free agent, it was hardly surprising that several Spanish clubs started to clamour for his signature. And Andres Garcia has zeroed in on his next destination, with Real Madrid securing his services on a free transfer this summer.

While some of Real Madrid’s recent youth prodigies in the first-team squad have been South American prospects, Florentino Perez has been adamant about “Spanishizing” the club’s senior side in the last few years. Such an outlook has fetched Los Blancos players like Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio.

At the same time, the Spanish giants have paid particular attention to primarily recruiting from home to bolster the reserve side. And with Juanmi Latasa facing an uncertain future amid links with Getafe and Girona, Real Madrid needed to bring in a replacement to bolster Raul Gonzalez’s squad this summer.

Alvaro Leiva has already joined Real Madrid to reinforce the reserve team this summer, and Raul’s recruitment drive has helped the club bring in Andres Garcia. The 19-year-old Spanish sensation is reportedly signing a three-year contract running until June 30, 2025, making him a potential future investment for Los Blancos.

Alternatively, Andres Garcia can also make a case for himself to be Real Madrid’s next first-choice striker if he shows enough potential in the coming season. It will be interesting to see how the 19-year-old Spanish striker progresses in the 2022/23 campaign under the tutelage of Raul.
