Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic is reportedly considering offers from a quartet of Serie A giants, AC Milan, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Napoli.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Miralem Pjanic might be set to return to Serie A in the summer transfer window. Four Serie A giants – AC Milan, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Napoli – have submitted offers to the Barcelona midfielder, who has no future at Camp Nou.

Miralem Pjanic has seen his progress stall completely since joining Barcelona from Juventus two years ago. The Bosnian midfielder is a modern-day stalwart of Serie A football but has been a shell of the wily midfielder he was only a few seasons back.

The 32-year-old barely featured for Barcelona as a starter in the 2020/21 season, with Ronald Koeman not fancying him much. And with the Dutchman still at the helm at Camp Nou last summer, Pjanic joined Besiktas before enjoying a much better campaign with the Turkish outfit.

The veteran midfielder has returned to Barcelona this summer but does not feature as a regular in Xavi Hernandez’s plans. And a return to Serie A might be on the cards for Pjanic, with a quartet of bigwigs – AC Milan, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Napoli – keen on securing his services.

Recent reports have claimed that Pjanic has offered himself to Juventus. The Serie A giants are in the market for a midfielder as Paul Pogba has sustained a long-term injury that will keep him out of action for much of the first half of the season. As for AC Milan, the interest from the Rossoneri is unsurprising, considering they are yet to replace Franck Kessie, who joined Barcelona earlier in the summer.

Kessie is thus a viable target for the Serie A champions, who will have to fend off competition from Fiorentina and Napoli to secure his services. La Viola and the Partenopei also need to invest in a midfielder this summer, with Pjanic’s previous experience in Serie A making him an attractive prospect.

Barcelona will not stop the Bosnian midfielder from departing from Camp Nou this summer, with Nico Gonzalez the alternative to Sergio Busquets in the holding midfield spot. So it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Pjanic amid interest from a quartet of Serie A giants.
