Chelsea have reportedly secured the services of 16-year-old Southampton prodigy Tyler Dibling this summer.

According to an exclusive report from The Secret Scout, Chelsea have made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Tyler Dibling. They have won the race to sign the Southampton whizkid, who is regarded as one of the most gifted players to come out of the club’s youth academy in recent years.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Dibling was one of the rising stars in the Under-18 Premier League last season. Despite being 16, the English prodigy had racked up 18 appearances in the league and was involved in as many as nine goals. His blazing performances even saw him appear in a couple of games for Southampton’s reserve side.

It was a massive feat for a 16-year-old, especially for someone coming from a Southampton academy that has produced some fine players in the past. Dibling did not fail to impress in the Premier League 2 either, scoring three goals and mustering an assist in just the two games he was involved in.

Quite predictably, the 16-year-old’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with Chelsea all set to secure his services ahead of the new season.

Coming on the back of some serious turmoil surrounding club ownership and the mass exodus of star defenders, including Andreas Christensen, Chelsea are currently in the midst of a massive squad overhaul and the injection of a new philosophy, led by their coach Thomas Tuchel.

The German has been handed additional power and responsibility following the exit of Marina Granovskaia and chairman Bruce Buck. As part of his plans to rebuild the Chelsea squad, Tuchel has targeted many top-quality players, but he has also appeared keen on shoring his options in the youth department.

That is where Tyler Dibling comes into the fray. The Southampton whizkid may have an excellent opportunity to become a part of the Chelsea youth setup that has produced talents such as Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Trevoh Chalobah in recent years.

The Blues offer excellent training facilities and are way past their notorious strategy of loaning out their young prospects. As such, Cobham could prove to be the ideal destination for young Dibling as the 16-year-old looks to take the next step in his career this summer by joining Chelsea.

I know we have bought from Chelsea in recent years but Divling would be better off a saint, he is more likely to get into saints first team than Chelsea’s. I suspect he has gone for the money.
