Premier League giants Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly contacted Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni over a possible summer move.

As per a report by FcInterNews, Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni is a player that the Nerazzurri could part ways with this summer if they receive an offer worth around €60 million. The Italian international is attracting interest from the Premier League, with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur both contacting his agent over a summer move.

The Inter Milan management has already started preparing for the next season and are aware that they might need to sell some of their strongest players to add reinforcements this summer. Bastoni has emerged as one of the names that are not ‘non-transferable’.

But the report states that the centre-back could be allowed to leave if a bid in the region of €60 million is made. The Italian international is not short of potential suitors, with three European giants in Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur showing interest in him.

All three interested parties have contacted Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti over a possible summer move, which could spell an end to his five-year association with the Nerazzurri. The 23-year-old moved to San Siro in the 2017 summer window from Atalanta before rejoining La Dea on a year-long loan. Bastoni spent a season on loan at Parma as well before breaking into the Inter first team.

Bastoni formed an integral part of the Serie A-winning Inter side under Antonio Conte, who is now interested in reuniting with the Italian international in north London. Tottenham are closing in on UEFA Champions League qualification for next season and are expected to be in a better position to provide Conte with transfer funds to improve the squad.

On the other hand, Manchester City strive to improve consistently and believe the 23-year-old Italian would be a decent addition to their existing squad. But City, like the other two interested clubs, are yet to start negotiations for the defender and are merely interested in him at this point.

Simone Inzaghi is looking to add reinforcements in the left-back department and could invest the transfer fee earned from the possible sale of Bastoni to strengthen that position. The Italian international will have two years remaining on his contract after the current season, meaning recouping €60 million from his sale could be realistic amid interest from Tottenham, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
