Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are among the clubs keeping close tabs on the progress of Inter Milan forward Martin Satriano.

According to a report from Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are on red alert as Martin Satriano continues to impress in Ligue 1. The Inter Milan forward is currently on loan at Stade Brest, with his blazing performances in the French top-flight making him one of the most sought-after young attackers in Europe.

Tottenham and Chelsea are among the clubs keeping a close eye on his development, with an eye on a potential move after the end of the season. Satriano is expected to return to Milan in the summer, but Inter could face a fierce battle in their bid to keep hold of the youngster, with LOSC Lille and Marseille also involved in the race.

Formerly of Nacional, Satriano had joined the Inter academy in early 2020. After spending almost two years in Italy, he was shipped to Stade Brest in January, in a short-term loan deal in order to gain more experience at the highest level of football.

Barely three months after his move to Brest, the youngster has racked up four goals in 11 league matches. He has impressed the onlookers with his ability to sniff goalscoring opportunities, coupled with his imposing 1.87m frame that makes him a threat in the final third.

The report suggests Chelsea are targeting Satriano in light of the uncertain futures of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku. There is a chance both the forwards could be offloaded in the summer, with coach Thomas Tuchel looking to start from scratch following a couple of disappointing investments in the goalscoring department.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have been handed hopes of Harry Kane’s prolonged stay at the club. But the Lilywhites have struggled in the recent past due to a lack of a proper alternative for the English international. Satriano, to that end, can not only serve as a backup for Kane but can also prove to be a long-term replacement for the star striker.

However, it is difficult to imagine the 21-year-old Uruguayan leaving Inter Milan in the summer. The Nerazzurri are facing a fierce battle to keep hold of the youngster. But amid speculation over the future of Lautaro Martinez, the Italian champions are expected to retain Satriano, who could emerge as the desired replacement for the Argentine international next season.
