Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly keeping close tabs on the progress of Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Kacper Kozlowski.

According to Fichajes, Brighton & Hove Albion could face a difficult task to keep hold of Kacper Kozlowski this coming summer. The 18-year-old Polish sensation has left a massive impression with his performances in his native Poland, and he could leave the club just six after months penning a four and a half year deal at the Amex Stadium.

Chelsea and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in securing the services of Kozlowski, with an eye for a move in the summer. The young Pole had initially joined Brighton in January, for a fee of €11 million.

He was coming on the back of a successful spell with Pogon Szczecin, though the playmaker was swiftly loaned out to Belgian outfit Royal Union Saint Gilloise. With just six appearances so far, he has not been able to make the desired impact, but that has not deterred top clubs across England as they look to secure his services in the summer.

A central midfielder by trade, Kozlowski is a dynamic operator. He likes to create chances in the middle of the park and is gifted with technical prowess that makes him very useful in tight spaces. The 18-year-old’s quality in midfield has already earned him six caps for the Polish national team, with the youngster likely to play a key role in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Kozlowski is expected to return to Brighton at the end of the season. But it appears the Seagulls are set to face intense pressure from Manchester City and Chelsea in their bid to keep hold of the Polish sensation.

Both the Premier League giants are known for their ability to poach talented young players across Europe, with Manchester City, in particular, showing the desire to sign Kozlowski amid comparisons with Kevin De Bruyne. With the Belgian nearing the final phase of his career, Manchester City believe Kozlowski has what it takes to emulate the former Wolfsburg man in the future.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are bracing themselves for a summer of change, with Christian Pulisic among the players tipped to leave Stamford Bridge. The departure of several creative players in the team could pave the way for Kozlowski to become a potential first-team option for Thomas Tuchel next season.

However, it is difficult to imagine Brighton releasing the young Pole just six months after acquiring his services, especially to a fellow Premier League club like Manchester City and Chelsea. The Seagulls rate the player quite highly, and it will be interesting to see if Graham Potter can offer him a prominent role in the first team next season.
