Manchester City are preparing an approach for Jude Bellingham to try and tempt the midfielder from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City are interested in signing Jude Bellingham this summer as the Premier League giants plan to make an offer once the season ends. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and will prove to be costly.

Jude Bellingham’s stock has risen steadily over the last 18 months after putting some impressive displays for Borussia Dortmund. The move at a young age from Birmingham City has proved successful as the 18-year-old, who continues to conquer Bundesliga.

He hasn’t gone unnoticed back in England, as some of the biggest clubs remain keen on bringing him back. Having never tasted Premier League football, Bellingham seems destined to play in the English top-flight in the near future and achieve greatness.

While Borussia Dortmund will be reluctant to lose one of their most gifted young players, they reportedly quoted Real Madrid a whopping €150 million to part ways with the 18-year-old midfielder. The Spanish giants are keen on finalising moves for Kylian Mbappe and possibly Bellingham’s Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland, leaving no chance for another major transfer.

Real Madrid certainly like Bellingham and could formulate a plan to sign him in 2023. The 18-year-old is also reportedly content with life at the club and might look to stick around for another season. However, there is significant interest from the Premier League. Manchester United are reportedly looking at Bellingham as a replacement for Paul Pogba, while Liverpool may bow out owing to financial reasons.

Manchester City have now entered the race, as there are indications Pep Guardiola might sign a central midfielder. And Bellingham could be seen as the future of this team alongside the likes of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.

Manchester City, as per the report, are already planning on submitting an offer for Bellingham. They might not face any problems with coming up with a huge transfer fee, although the club may look to prioritise signing a striker at this moment.

With Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan still in the picture, game-time might become an issue for Bellingham. The 18-year-old England international certainly is a great long-term option, but he may find it odd to sit on the bench at the Etihad after playing regularly at Borussia Dortmund. As such, a move this summer looks highly unlikely.
