Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly set sights on Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale over a possible Bosman move in the summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Gareth Bale is the subject of interest from AC Milan over a possible Bosman move in the summer transfer window. The Serie A giants have contacted the Real Madrid outcast’s entourage to discuss his wage requests.

Gareth Bale is at a crossroads in his career, going from a pivotal player for Real Madrid to an afterthought. The Welshman once delivered the UEFA Champions League title to Los Blancos but has seen his stock fall considerably in the last few years, with a loan stint at Tottenham Hotspur not helping his case either.

The 32-year-old has reached his lowest ebb as a Real Madrid player this season, garnering only 270 minutes of game-time across five appearances, scoring one goal. And it is obvious that Bale will leave Real Madrid as a free agent when his contract expires in the summer transfer window. The Welsh forward’s next destination could be Serie A, with AC Milan interested in him.

AC Milan will delve into the market for attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window, with bolstering the right-wing berth a priority. That is because Samu Castillejo will likely depart from San Siro ahead of the 2022/23 season, leaving Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers as the only other options at Stefano Pioli’s disposal.

But neither Messias nor Saelemaekers inspires confidence as a first-choice option on the right flank. Bale is thus a viable target for AC Milan, particularly because he will arrive at San Siro on a Bosman move, which aligns well with the budget of the Serie A giants. Apart from the 32-year-old outcast, fellow Real Madrid wide-attacker Marco Asensio is also on AC Milan’s radar.

In addition, the Serie A giants have also set their sights on Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard, making it abundantly clear that they see potential in the Real Madrid outcasts. As for the pursuit of Bale, Paolo Maldini is in touch with the Welsh international’s entourage to discuss his wage demands.

But Brazilian legend Rivaldo recently tipped cash-rich Newcastle United to sign the ex-Tottenham talisman. That said, the emergence of AC Milan could turn Bale’s head, considering he will have the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League by joining the Serie A outfit.
