Galatasaray have reportedly set their sights on Manchester City youngster Kayky, who is available on loan in the summer.

According to the Turkish news outlet, Fanatik, Galatasaray have expressed the desire to sign Kayky. The Manchester City youngster is likely to be available on loan in the summer transfer window, as the English champions look to help him gain some much-needed game-time at the professional level.

A product of the Fluminense youth academy, Kayky joined Manchester City last summer in a deal worth €10 million. It was a long-term investment made to further enhance the overall quality of the Manchester City academy that has already produced a host of talented players in the recent past.

In what has been his maiden season in England, the Brazilian has largely represented the Manchester City reserve squad in the Elite Development League. A winger by trade, he played in 11 Premier League 2 matches, scoring four goals while mustering two assists. He had featured for the Under-19 team in the UEFA Youth League as well, but the youth Cityzens were knocked out of the group stages.

Manchester City, though, are keen on giving the youngster some game-time at the professional stage. The 18-year-old did make his Premier League debut this year, featuring as a late substitute in the win over Norwich City while also playing the last few minutes against Swindon Town in the FA Cup.

Fortunately for Kayky, his days at the Manchester City academy could be up temporary as Galatasaray show interest in the youngster. Currently dawdling in the mid-table of the Turkish Super Lig, the Lions are set for a major rebuild in the summer, with the club likely to emphasise on young players with the potential to improve.

Kayky fits the bill well, given his sheer potential and ability to breeze past defenders in the final third. It could make him an interesting replacement for ageing stars such as Arda Turan and Ryan Babel, both of who, are expected to depart Galatasaray after the end of the season.

While Kayky may leave Manchester City on loan in the summer, the Cityzens will bring in Julian Alvarez from River Plate, having reached a deal in January.

The reigning English champions are also keen on hijacking Chelsea’s deal to sign Jamaldeen Jimoh, the 15-year-old midfielder, who is currently making waves at the youth level. In addition to that, Pep Guardiola’s side are also closing in on the capture of another Brazilian prospect, Savio.
