The two teams were in the same group at Euro 2016 and their match raised a lot of hue and cry among English supporters as then Three Lions manager, Roy Hogdson, made a surprising decision of making a lot of changes to his lineup including dropping Wayne Rooney to the bench.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw that prevented the nation from finishing first, which in turn matched them up against Iceland, who ultimately spelled doom for their Euro 2016 campaign. The former Bolton manager doesn’t seem to prefer players that do not fight, which could be a significant factor in the future England starting lineups.
