Monaco defender Vanderson has been linked with clubs like Barcelona and Manchester United recently.
The defender has now opened up on the reported transfer links to Spanish publication AS and revealed that he is glad to hear that the top clubs are keen on him.
Vanderson is highly rated around Europe and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Barcelona and Manchester United in the near future. The Brazilian defender seems delighted that the top clubs are tracking him but he is focused on the task at hand and he is looking to continue to improve with Monaco.
He said: “It’s great to hear that Barça and United love you. It’s fantastic to know that your name is mentioned in the big clubs. We’re starting the season well with Monaco, now I’m focused only in that”.
Barcelona could definitely use a quality right-back in the near future and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the Brazilian. The 22-year-old defender is quite impressive going forward and he would add a new dimension to their attack as well.
Apart from being a quality right-back, Vanderson is versatile enough to operate as the right winger as well. The defender has one goal and an assist to his name in the French league so far this season.
Playing at a top club like Barcelona will help him develop further and fulfil his tremendous potential.
The Brazilian has a contract with Monaco until the summer of 2027 and the French outfit are likely to demand a premium for him. They are under no pressure to cash in on the player and Barcelona will have to pay big money to convince them.
