Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount continued their splendid start to the season, as Chelsea cruised to a 4-1 win over Southampton on Sunday.

After a slow start to the game, Chelsea grabbed a lead in the 17th minute, as Tammy Abraham lobbed the ball over Angus Gunn. Seven minutes later, Mason Mount was on target, doubling his side’s lead. But, at the half hour mark, Southampton pulled a goal back through Danny Ings, thanks to some woeful defending by Chelsea.

Chelsea, though, had their two-goal lead back before half-time, with N’Golo Kante’s long-range shot being deflected into the Southampton goal. The Blues continued dominating the proceedings post the interval and rounded the win off in the 89th minute, as Michy Batshuayi got his name on the score sheet.

Two of the goalscorers, Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount were showered with praise once again by Chelsea fans, as they continued their fine run of form.

Callum Hudson-Odoi impressed in his first Premier League start of the season and Chelsea fans were jubilant following a job well done by the teenager.

But, the star of the game for Chelsea was newly-named vice-captain Jorginho, who bossed the midfield throughout the game.
