Teenage attacking sensation Roony Bardghji drops a hint regarding a future move to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
According to a report by Aftonbladet, Roony Bardghji has recently dropped a hint that he could join Tottenham Hotspur in the near future. The 18-year-old Swedish winger has made quite a name for himself and he is on the radar of some of the biggest clubs. But, Spurs could end up winning the race for his services.
When asked if he could join up with Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall at Spurs, Bardghji said: “It’s fun to think about. You never know, it could happen. Hard to say now.“
Bardghji joined FC Copenhagen back in the summer of 2020. He has since gone up the ranks at the club and was promoted to their first team in the winter of 2022.
The teenage sensation already has 71 appearances for the Danish club and he has even contributed towards 16 goals. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the Copenhagen winger has featured in a total of 30 games and has contributed with 11 goals. His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there are clubs willing to make a move for his signatures.
Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in the 18-year-old. Their boss Ange Postecoglou wanted to sign him during the winter to reinforce his attack and add depth. They were also willing to battle it out with other clubs but at last, he ended up staying at the Danish club.
Spurs might have failed to sign this Swedish talent in the winter but they did manage to get their hands on Lucas Bergvall. He rejected Barcelona to complete a move to the English club. The 18-year-old will join Spurs ahead of next season.
The North London club remain interested in Bardghji and they will return for him in the summer. Meanwhile, the Copenhagen forward was recently asked about the possibility of playing alongside Bergvall and Dejan Kulusevski at Spurs. While talking to Sportbladet, he said that it is fun to think about and it could happen.
The 18-year-old might have just hinted towards the possibility of him making the move to the English club. Since Spurs are keen on having him in their ranks and attacking reinforcement will be a priority for the club next season, it could become a reality. But, there are other clubs in the mix and they won’t make it any easier.
