Cesc Fabregas has completed his move from Chelsea to AS Monaco, with the struggling Ligue 1 outfit signing the Spaniard on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Chelsea have made an official statement to announce that Cesc Fabregas has joined AS Monaco, who have signed the Spanish midfielder on a three-and-a-half year deal. Fabregas will reunite with former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry at Stade Louis II, where the Frenchman is the Monaco boss.
Fabregas spent four-and-a-half years at Chelsea, amassing 198 appearances during this period. But, after losing his place in the first-team setup under Maurizio Sarri, he was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for quite some time now.
Fabregas won four trophies during his stint with the Blues, including two Premier League titles. And, after an emotional farewell against Nottingham Forest last weekend, the Chelsea fans and a few players paid tribute to the Spanish playmaker, who was a fan favourite during his stay at the Bridge.

Fabregas signing a real coup for Monaco. He leaves England having contributed to how we started to think differently about midfielders following his arrival at Arsenal as a 16 year old. Hugely successful at Chelsea.

Fabregas has completed four full seasons with Chelsea:
14/15 – Premier league & League cup winner
15/16 – 0 trophies
16/17 – Another Premier league trophy
17/18 – FA CupTo say that his move to Chelsea was a success would be an understatement.

Fabregas gets the essay treatment, in much the same way as all other recently departed Chelsea legends.
An even more remarkable legacy given his emergence at Arsenal #cfc https://t.co/ClctUw3LWG

Even Arsenal fans, who have often been aggrieved by Fabregas’ decision to join Chelsea, joined in the tribute, with one supporter putting a humourous twist to his message.
You’re literally attempting to insult a player who won a World Cup, two European Championships & three league titles by using a picture from a game that your club bottled the league title in, mate. Cesc Fabregas is literally bigger than your club. https://t.co/HC9nAMJzRs

What a fantastic career Cesc Fabregas has had. Arsenal, Barcelona, then he took four and a half years off and now it’s great to see him back in the game at Monaco!
