Manchester United have been linked with the move for 18-year-old Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel in recent weeks.

Mathys Tel has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich owing to a lack of game time. His agent has now confirmed that the 18-year-old is committed to the German club, but he will consider his options if the situation does not change.

“Mathys loves the club, the fans, he wants to be important and win all the trophies here with a strong team,” he told BILD. Sometimes you just need to feel like you’re on the same path.  We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player.”

Mathys Tel has been a squad player for Bayern Munich season, and he needs to play more often at this stage of his career. The 18-year-old is expected to develop into a world-class winger. A move to the Premier League could allow him to play regularly, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The teenage sensation was linked with a loan move away from the club in January. But he snubbed the opportunity of a temporary exit. The Frenchman will only leave the club permanently.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Manchester United could certainly use more quality in the wide areas, and Tel should prove to be a solid, long-term investment for them. If the Red Devils can agree on a reasonable fee with Bayern Munich in the coming months, the transfer could look like a master stroke in the coming seasons.

The 18-year-old is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He has all the tools to develop into a reliable Premier league attacker. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has done well to nurture young players during his time at Ajax, and he could play a key role in the development of the 18-year-old Frenchman as well. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich might regret the decision to let him leave at the end of the season. So, they should look to give him ample first-team opportunities.
