The Borussia Dortmund striker certainly solves a major issue for Manchester City in the No.9 role and is expected to become a prominent part of the team in their quest to win more trophies. Last summer, Pep Guardiola was chasing Harry Kane to occupy this precise position where the Norwegian will now be plying his trade.

Liverpool have kept up the pace in the title chase after beating Aston Villa on Tuesday, with Sadio Mane scoring with match-winning goal. The Reds did lose momentum after dropping points against Tottenham last weekend, and Manchester City’s win over Newcastle United established a clear three-point gap between the two sides.

Klopp’s comments appeared on 90 min, with the Liverpool manager telling the press he expects Haaland to be a fantastic signing and claimed he could score plenty of goals for Manchester City.
When asked if Haaland will improve Manchester City, Klopp said, “A lot. Good player. Man City was never and will never be a team that wins because of one player. They have a specific way to play, and I think Erling will all of a sudden realise that he will score a lot of goals at the second post where he just puts his foot on it. He will love that. He is a real beast. He was injured a couple of times at Dortmund but when he’s fit he’s a real beast. Unfortunately, he is a really good signing.”
Liverpool may look to improve their squad in the coming window, but Klopp will hope star names Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah sign new deals at the club. The Reds may have fallen behind in the title race, but they are still in contention to finish the season with two more trophies, namely the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
