The 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world, and he has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer. The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City could use a quality player like him and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
The former Birmingham City prodigy has been heavily linked with Liverpool in recent months, especially with the Reds needing a major midfield overhaul. Signing Bellingham could solve a lot of their problems. and it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp can get the deal done. The Dortmund midfielder is thought to be valued at around £100 million, and Liverpool will have to smash their transfer record to sign him.
Meanwhile, Manchester City and Chelsea have more financial resources compared to the Merseyside outfit. And they could easily pay the asking price if they can convince Bellingham to join them.
Chelsea could lose either or both of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in the summer. And Bellingham would be a quality alternative. It is a similar situation at Manchester City, with Bernardo Silva attracting interest from Barcelona. Whoever ends up signing Bellingham will have a future superstar on their hands.
Pep Guardiola has already signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. And it remains to be seen whether he can reunite the Norwegian striker with Bellingham next season. Manchester City are undoubtedly one of the most formidable clubs on the planet right now. And they have the resources to pay the asking price for the player as well.
It is fair to assume that the Citizens could have an edge in the transfer chase if they are truly interested in the player. But Chelsea and Liverpool will surely have something to say on the matters.
