Chelsea eased past Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup to progress to the quarter finals of the competition. Goals from Pedro and Diego Costa were enough to ensure Antonio Conte’s men ran out the victors at the Molineux.

Other than a couple of chances in the first 5 minutes, Chelsea never looked threatened and always held the Championship side at arms length. On a day when several other Premier League teams faltered, Conte’s men did a professional job once more.

Their impressive form in the league and domestic competitions has sparked talk of a domestic double for Conte in his first season, but Chelsea fans were pleased enough with another disciplined performance. Pedro scored yet again in the FA Cup and Twitter was out with the stats and praise

Cesc Fabregas also impressed once more after being named in the starting lineup. The Spaniard has been unable to break into Chelsea’s first team but still puts in a performance every time he plays, and Twitter was full of appreciation. The man himself started it off by celebrating his 100th start for the Blues.

Antonio Conte was the subject of praise once again, as the system he incorporated at Chelsea continued to not only bring them results, but allow players to thrive.

However, there was some bewilderment as to why Michy Batshuayi was not included in the starting lineup and despite Chelsea using all three substitutes, the Belgian was not called upon.
