A comprehensive second half performance saw Chelsea hand a 3-0 defeat to Watford to take firm control of the Premier League top four race.
Watford were the better of the two sides in the first half, getting close to finding the back of the net on a couple of occasions, with Troy Deeney forcing Kepa Arrizabalaga into one of the best saves of the season. But, Chelsea would go on to turn it around spectacularly post the interval.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued his fine form as he nodded in from Eden Hazard’s corner just moments into the second half. Three minutes later, Chelsea scored from another corner, with Hazard providing the assist to David Luiz this time. The win was finally rounded off 15 minutes from time as Gonzalo Higuain finished past Ben Foster after being sent through on goal by Pedro.
With the win in the bag, Gary Cahill was given some time on the pitch to say his goodbyes to the Stamford Bridge faithfuls, with his time at Chelsea to an end this summer. And, fans thanked the veteran defender for his services at the club.

The streets will never forget all of those who did not rate RLC. Whether it was back in 2013 or at the start of this season, it does not matter. We remember.

Today’s match was a perfect example of why I rate RLC. His physicality in the midfield was instrumental in us getting through the deepblock. Sometimes finesse doesn’t work and you need to bully the midfield, RLC is capable of both.

Not sure what we’d do without Kepa.
Saved the Blues all season long. #CHEWAT pic.twitter.com/yX8Q0JjD38

KEPA TEACH ME HOW YOU STOOD UP 10x HIGHER AFTER CONSTANT RUDE REMARKS FROM CHELSEA FANS (he is really proving himself to be the most expensive keeper lately it’s crazy) pic.twitter.com/M3Vwl4Wqup

Finally, fans also hailed the performance of Eden Hazard, who ran the show and was instrumental in a Chelsea win once again.
Mister 50 percent. Eden Hazard is now directly involved in 31 Premier League goals for Chelsea (16 goals, 15 assists). Chelsea have 62 in total. Two assists today. #cfc pic.twitter.com/FQZrATqvpw

Genuinely think I might cry after today’s game, could very much be Hazard’s last game at his home. We’ve never lost when he scored at the bridge.

Nearly 7 years ago Hazard made his first PL start at Stamford Bridge and today is possibly his last. In that space of time he has won everything there is to win in England and has looked world class doing it. Whatever happens, Eden to me at least is a Chelsea legend..#EH10 ? https://t.co/JgvhFtCpcT
