Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the season continued on Sunday, but the Blues were rather subdued as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge
The match was largely a feisty affair, with both sides creating plenty of chances over the course of the 90 minutes. There was no shortage of fouls on either end either, although no player managed to see red. The woodwork saw a fair share of action as well, and there was a growing sense that Chelsea would have to suffice with a draw as the match went on.
That is exactly what happened as luck deserted the hosts, who were increasingly frustrated over the course of the game. Chelsea fans though, had some choice words for referee Kevin Friend, who made some questionable decisions in the match.
Kevin Friend is the worst referee in the Premier League pass it on

How the hell is Bernard still on the pitch for that?! Headbutt to Rudiger and only a yellow plus Rudiger gets booked too? Kevin Friend and his assistants need specsavers! Idiots. #CHEEVE

#bbcfootball #CHEEVE Kevin Friend aiming for new Premier League record for most clear penalties denied the same player in a game. 3 on Morata so far.

Kevin Friend not a friend of Chelsea, period

Frustrating 1st half brightened only by Alonso's volley & dominated by ineptitude of Kevin Friend & his inability to determine a cynical foul & tactical theatrics. C'mon Chels 2nd half #CheEve

Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata was also subjected to scrutiny by Chelsea fans owing to a poor display on the day.

Recommend Morata spends the international break learning the offside rule.

A word on Morata – wasn’t just his performance I was annoyed with today, it was that child like attitude creeping back in, should have been sent off really. Just when he looks to be getting there too, shame.

I have been watching Chelsea for almost 15yrs, I can't remember more disgusting player than Morata.

After the Palace game last week many were saying ‘Where are the Morata haters now?’ Being critical of a player doesn’t mean you hate them. I want Morata to do well but he does nothing to impress me. Offside a lot, moans, get’s booked, goes down too easy & misses good chances. ??♂️ pic.twitter.com/XZYmFaqly7
