Casemiro has suggested that Neymar is welcome to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window if the Brazilian forward leaves PSG.

In a recent interview with SporTV’s Circulo Grande program, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Casemiro has spoken about the uncertainties surrounding the future of Neymar. The Real Madrid midfield ace has suggested that the Brazilian international is free to join Los Blancos if he leaves PSG in the summer transfer window.

Neymar has been one of the most enigmatic players in football, especially following his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain half a decade ago. The 30-year-old sent shockwaves across the world when he decided to end his highly fruitful stint with Barcelona to join PSG in a €222 million deal.

But while Neymar has been brilliant whenever he has turned out for Les Parisiens, his abysmal fitness record has frustrated fans and managers. The Brazilian international has a solid tally of 100 goals and 60 assists in 144 appearances for PSG. But Neymar faces an uncertain future at Parc des Princes this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that the reigning Ligue 1 champions want to sell Neymar in the summer transfer window, with Luis Campos uninterested in keeping him on board at the French club. And now Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has responded to speculation surrounding Neymar.

Responding to a question over Neymar’s uncertain future at PSG, the Real Madrid midfielder said, “Neymar can play for any team in the world. If PSG don’t want him, Real Madrid want him. Okay?”

The comment appears to be tongue in cheek, but what remains undisputed is that Neymar’s future at PSG is up in the air as things stand. Intermediaries recently offered the Brazilian forward to Manchester City, who rejected a potential swap deal involving Bernardo Silva.

Recent reports have also linked Neymar with Chelsea and Manchester United. But he does not have a suitor in Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti recently insisting that the reigning La Liga champions are through with their summer transfer business. Meanwhile, Neymar has also spoken publicly recently, asserting that he is not leaving PSG anytime soon despite widespread speculation surrounding his future.
