Chelsea, without Eden Hazard, thrashed Sean Dyche’s Burnley 4-0 on Sunday to move to the second spot in the Premier League table.

Chelsea extended their unbeaten run in the 2018-19 Premier League to ten matches, as they hammered Burnley 4-0 away at the Turf Moor this weekend.

Alvaro Morata opened the scoring for the visitors in the first period with a slick finish, before Ross Barkley added a second from range after the break. Willian made it 3-0 soon after to put the outcome of the game beyond any doubt and substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek then scored deep into stoppage time to heap further misery on the Clarets.

The result sees Chelsea move into the second place in the league table, with 24 points from 10 matches. The shift could be temporary however, with third-placed Manchester City scheduled to play Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.

It was another clinical display from Maurizio Sarri’s men and the victory meant the Italian became the first ever Chelsea manager to go unbeaten in his first ten matches unbeaten in the Premier League. And fans poured in with praises for the former Napoli boss on social media;

Ross Barkley, after scoring the late equalizer against Manchester United last weekend, was on song once again, scoring one and grabbing two assists. And the Blues’ supporters took to social media in full force to celebrate the midfielder’s performance on Sunday, with some even comparing the Englishman to club legend Frank Lampard.
