Bernardo Silva wants Manchester City to sign the 19-year-old Benfica defensive midfielder Joao Neves.
Joao Neves has been the talk of the town of late. The teenage sensation has made quite a name for himself and there is a lot of interest in his services. Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are both keen on having him in their ranks and Bernardo Silva is keen on having him at City.
Neves has been at Benfica since his childhood days. He came up the ranks and made it to their first team ahead of the ongoing season. The teenage sensation has 38 appearances for the first team so far and has also contributed towards four goals.
18 of his appearances have come in the ongoing campaign and Neves has already established himself as a first-team regular. His impressive performances have resulted in him getting called up to the Portugal national team.
On the back of his impressive rise and exceptional performances, there is a lot of interest in his services. Manchester United and Manchester City both have been linked with the teenage sensation. The Red Devils haven’t had the best of starts to the new season and a major reason has been the performances of Casemiro.
The Brazil international is not at his best and United could look to replace him with the Portuguese sensation. The Red Devils’ skipper Bruno Fernandes talked about the 19-year-old’s exceptional abilities in the recent past and he did put forward the desire to play alongside him at the club level.
The United skipper said: “I would love to have him by my side, because he has quality and will have a bright future. It depends on him. What I want most is the best for him.”
While United are keen on having him in their ranks, even City seem interested in his services. City star Bernardo Silva is a big admirer of the 19-year-old sensation. The 29-year-old is quite impressed having played alongside him on the national team.
Silva thinks he could be a great addition to the City ranks and wants the club to push for his services in the near future. The Portuguese international recently said that if he could, he would do his bit to make sure that he joins Manchester City instead of Manchester United.

With Silva ready to make efforts on a personal level and City ready to flex their financial muscle, they do have a bigger chance of landing him at the club over rivals Manchester United.
