Gabriel Jesus will replace Raphinha in the Barcelona starting lineup when they host Getafe at Camp Nou on Saturday.
Barcelona will aim to continue the perfect start to the 2026/27 La Liga season when they welcome Getafe to Camp Nou on Saturday evening. Hansi Flick has received a mixed bag of updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Raphinha is the latest absentee due to the hamstring injury he sustained during the international break. The Brazilian international has joined Andreas Christensen (thigh) and Roony Bardghji (ACL) in the treatment room. Frenkie de Jong (knee) has resumed training, but is not available to take on Getafe.
However, Joan Garcia and Eric Garcia should be fit and available to take on Getafe this weekend. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Flick provided fitness updates on Joan Garcia, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, and Gabriel Jesus.
The Barcelona manager said, “It’s not a serious injury, but we have to be careful because he had injuries last season. He won’t be available against Getafe or Galatasaray. The idea is for him [Gabriel Jesus] to start tomorrow. He’s improved a lot and adapted to our style. He’s trained very well over the last three weeks and he’s ready.”
“I saw a lot of good things. All the players know we have to press hard, and that’s our mentality. It’s good to have players with that intensity. Our plan is for him [Frenkie de Jong] to play in the next match against Betis. He’s not in pain and can do everything, but he needs more time and we’re going to give it to him. Livakovic is always an option, as is Tek. But from what we saw today, Joan is in great shape and I think he’ll be able to start.”
Joan Garcia will return between the sticks, with Barcelona lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Getafe on Saturday. The backline will feature Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, and Xavi Espart.
As for the midfield unit, there is no looking past Rodri and Pedri in the double pivot, with Fermin Lopez reprising the no. 10 role. Finally, Gabriel Jesus will lead the line for the home side against Getafe, with Anthony Gordon and Lamine Yamal being the two wide attackers.

Predicted Barcelona XI: Joan Garcia; Eric Garcia, Cubarsi, Martin, Espart; Rodri, Pedri; Yamal, Fermin, Gordon; Olmo
