Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund will return to the Manchester United starting lineup against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Manchester United will aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they lock horns with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening. Ruben Amorim has no new issues to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Luke Shaw (calf), Jonny Evans (muscle), and Mason Mount (hamstring) remain on the sidelines. However, Victor Lindelof should be in the matchday squad after training this week and travelling to London with the group.
Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, and Amad Diallo were not visible to photographers but should be in the matchday squad this weekend. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, which happened immediately after the UEFA Europa League game against Rangers, Amorim could not provide a fitness update on Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt, who picked up knocks in the match.
The Manchester United manager said, “I dont know. Leny has a pain and Mata [Matthijs] was a bruise from a touch. Leny was a little bit tired, he is playing more in this moment, so we have to be really careful and we will see. I don’t know.”
Amorim also provided a fitness update on Lindelof, saying, “He is going to be fit to train with the team. Then we have to start with more minutes, we do not have a lot of time to train. We have to put some exercises in 10 minutes and then he has to make extra work to improve his fitness. I don’t know [when he will play], it is two weeks to start training before I think about putting him in for some minutes.”
Andre Onana will replace Altay Bayindir between the sticks, with Manchester United lining up in a 3-4-2-1 formation in front of him against Fulham on Sunday. The central defensive unit should feature Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, and Lisandro Martinez. Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot will likely start as the two wing-backs.
As for the midfield unit, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo should pair up in the middle of the park. Finally, Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the away side against Fulham, with Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo completing the numbers in the offensive trifecta.
