Andrew Robertson, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo will return to the Liverpool starting lineup against Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool will aim to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League standings when they lock horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. And Jurgen Klopp has greeted a positive update on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Wataru Endo should be fit and available heading into Sunday’s clash after missing the game against Sheffield United with a knock. In addition, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Diogo Jota are close to returning to action. However, Sunday’s game has come too soon for the trio.

Meanwhile, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, and Stefan Bajcetic are long-term absentees for Liverpool. Klopp discussed Endo’s potential availability during his pre-match press conference, which happened after Thursday’s clash with Sheffield United.

The Liverpool manager said, “That’s my information [that he will be fit]. We rested him today. We had a feeling there could have been a chance for tonight but if we leave him out then there is a big chance for Sunday. I hope that didn’t change. Nobody got injured already as far as I know today. So recovery started already and now we recover and go again.”

Endo should return to the starting lineup on Sunday, joining Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai in the middle of the park. Mac Allister did not start against Sheffield United either. So, the Argentine international will be another player returning to the midfield trifecta.

The starting lineup should see one more change, with that shuffle coming in the backline. However, the offensive triumvirate should remain unchanged, with Darwin Nunez leading the line for Liverpool against Manchester United. Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz will continue as the wide attackers, leaving Cody Gakpo as an option on the bench.

The third and final change will see Andrew Robertson replacing Joe Gomez as the left-back. The Scottish full-back will join Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, and Virgil van Dijk in the backline. Finally, Caoimhin Kelleher will continue deputising for Alisson between the sticks against Manchester United.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
