Manchester United are reportedly considering Brentford manager Thomas Frank as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag.

According to ESPN, Manchester United want Thomas Frank to replace Erik ten Hag. The 50-year-old Brentford manager has been linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea as well.

Manchester United have had a disappointing season by their standards so far, and they are unlikely to win major trophies this season. Naturally, ten Hag is under a lot of pressure. So, it is hardly surprising that recent reports have claimed the Red Devils decide to replace him in the summer.

Despite significant backing during the summer transfer window, the Dutch manager has not been able to get the best out of his squad, and his big-money signings have flopped. On the other hand, Thomas Frank has done an impressive job with Brentford, and the Danish manager is certainly good enough to manage top clubs.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are prepared to provide him with an opportunity. On the other hand, Chelsea are scouring the market for a new manager as well. They are in the mid-table positions, and Mauricio Pochettino could easily be shown the door soon.

The Argentine manager has not been able to get the best out of this team, and Chelsea might need to make changes in the near future. The West London club have thus been keeping tabs on Frank.

Manchester United, Chelsea jobs will be a big opportunity

The opportunity to manage clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea will be an attractive opportunity for Thomas Frank, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The two clubs could provide him with the platform to challenge for major trophies. They have the resources to sign the best players in the world and have formidable squads as well.

Both ten Hag and Pochettino have brought in a number of quality players to turn things around at their respective clubs. But they have not been able to deliver the results on the pitch. So, making a change could be the right way forward now.

Manchester United and Chelsea can certainly come forward with a lucrative proposal for the 50-year-old manager. So, it is fair to assume that he might be attracted to the possibility of coaching them. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the next few months.
