Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has reportedly been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season, and he wants to take a sabbatical. Naturally, the Reds have been linked with several managers, including Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

The 58-year-old has done an exceptional job since taking over at Tottenham, and he has impressed with his free-flowing attacking approach. His charismatic personality has been a major hit with the fans as well.

Postecoglou has an exciting project ahead of him at Tottenham, and he is starting to put together a talented squad. The 58-year-old will want to win trophies with the North London club and guide them back into the UEFA Champions League.

The links with Liverpool can be quite unsettling. But Fabrizio Romano has now ruled out any potential worry for Tottenham. The Italian journalist has revealed that there is nothing to worry about and that the Australian remains committed to the cause at Tottenham.

He said on Caught Offside, “Ange Postecoglou put any rumours of him wanting to leave Tottenham to go to Liverpool to bed in his recent press conference, and guys I’ve nothing on Postecoglou and Liverpool so far.

“He’s very happy at Tottenham and I’m not aware of contacts with other clubs. He was also very much involved in talks to convince Lucas Bergvall to join Spurs for example, so it doesn’t look like a worrying situation to me.”

The 58-year-old is unlikely to abandon his project at Tottenham, and any move to Liverpool might have to wait for the future. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can bring in the right replacements at the end of the season. They have been linked with the number of managers already.

Liverpool could appoint Xabi Alonso

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, who is the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, is currently the front runner to replace the German manager at Anfield. Alonso has done an exceptional job at the Bundesliga club, and they are currently leading the title race.

The Spaniard could be the ideal replacement for Klopp. He knows the club well, and the 42-year-old will have the backing of the fan base as well. He will want to take the next step in his career, and joining a big club like Liverpool will be an attractive option for him.
