Predicted Liverpool lineup against Manchester United: Klopp to ring in the changes?

Jurgen Klopp will ring in the changes and restore the strongest Liverpool lineup against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool will look to remain at the top of the Premier League table when they welcome Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday evening. And Jurgen Klopp does not have any new issues to deal with ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Joel Matip is a long-term absentee due to a knee injury. In addition, Andrew Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, and Stefan Bajcetic remain on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister and Diogo Jota might not be fit enough to feature against Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s pre-match press conference for Sunday’s game was the post-game press after the outing against Union Saint-Gilloise. The Liverpool boss said, “Nobody got hurt, nobody is injured, so we recover, go home and go again.”

Mac Allister’s continued absence means Wataru Endo will feature as the holding midfielder. The Japanese international will be eager to continue making his mark at the base of the midfield unit. Endo will join Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai in the middle of the park on Sunday.

As for the defence, Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the danger man with his deliveries and set-piece prowess. The English international will be the right-back, with Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk being the two central defenders. Kostas Tsimikas should start ahead of Joe Gomez on the left flank, completing the numbers in the backline.

Alisson Becker is an automatic pick between the sticks for Liverpool against Manchester United. The Brazilian international has a prominent role during the build-up play while maintaining his primary job in the goal with the gloves.

Finally, Darwin Nunez should spearhead the Liverpool attack against Manchester United, with Cody Gakpo dropping to the bench. The Dutchman will be the backup attacker for the home side. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz will be the two wide attackers, with Ben Doak being another option among the substitutes.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
