Alisson Becker will return to the Liverpool starting lineup against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Liverpool will be eager to maintain their unbeaten run when they lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon. And Jurgen Klopp has greeted a mixed bag of updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

The Reds have a number of injury problems heading into this contest, and they will be without clear like Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Andrew Robertson and Alexis Mac Allister.

Robertson, Thiago, Bajcetic, and Matip are long-term absentees. Mac Allister picked up a knock in the last game, and he is set to miss out here. The Argentine international could return to action next week.

Meanwhile, Alisson Becker is close to returning after picking up a knock against Manchester City. Klopp provided an update on the Brazilian international during his pre-match press conference.

Klopp said, “Alisson looks good, I don’t know if good enough now for tomorrow. I have to check that with the coaches and the medical department, and with Ali, of course. Macca doesn’t look good, so we have to see day by day.”

“They were pretty hopeful after the game that it was not serious. It’s not that serious but in the period of the year if you are out for five days, it’s 12 games pretty much. We have to wait there how he shows up here today. I don’t expect him to be ready for tomorrow, I don’t know about Thursday or Sunday after that, so it’s pretty much stop and go. We have to see.”

Alisson is likely to start in goal for Liverpool here if he is cleared by the medical department. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas will start as the full-backs. They will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch. Ibrahima Konate will start in central defence alongside Virgil van Dijk.

In the absence of Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo could be handed a start here. The Japanese international will look to break up opposition attacks and protect the backine. Ryan Gravenberch could be handed a start as well, and he will look to add control and creativity to the side.

Dominik Szoboszlai will add physicality and drive to the Liverpool midfield. Finally, Darwin Nunez is likely to lead the line for Liverpool against Crystal Palace, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz on either side of him. Cody Gakpo will be an option on the bench for the away side.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
