Tottenham Hotspur to push for Julian Nagelsmann or Mauricio Pochettino as they look to replace Antonio Conte.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have identified their top two targets to replace their Italian manager Antonio Conte. Spurs are set to push for either Julian Nagelsmann or Mauricio Pochettino in the coming weeks.

The London club do not want to pay any compensation for their new managerial appointment. They will look to sign someone from the talented pool of unemployed managers. And, both their major targets Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino are without a job at this point in time.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has not lived up to the expectations at Spurs. He has failed to guide them to a title in the ongoing season. He was under scrutiny ever since they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 at the hands of AC Milan.

And, his explosive press conference after their 3-3 draw against Southampton before heading into the international break made matters worse. The Italian manager blasted the players as well as the club, and it has done no good to him.

While people at the club are discussing whether to sack him or let him leave after the end of the season, one thing is certain that they will have a new manager ahead of next season. Spurs are interested in appointing either Nagelsmann or Pochettino.

Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich on Friday despite his heroics in the ongoing season. The German manager had only lost three games all season long but was relieved of his duties because of sporting reasons. Spurs have tried to appoint him as their manager back in the day and they are once again likely to push for him.

The London club also have their eyes on their former manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has been without a club since his sacking by Paris Saint-Germain in July 2022.

Pochettino did a great job in his previous stint at the club. While he did not win any major trophies, the Argentine manager guided them to the UCL final which they unfortunately lost. With two top-quality managers on their radar, it will be interesting to see who they manage to sign.

Levy needs to follow Conte out of the door or nothing will change at Spurs. The fans have had enough of Levy and his way of running the club with profit above everything. It’s time Spurs had owners that were willing to spend what’s needed on the squad to put us in the position where we can actually win something. 22 years of Levy’s way doesn’t work, who else would still be in a job after 22 years of failure?
    Levy and Lewis OUT.
