Manchester City are bracing themselves for a raid by Inter Milan for the signing of Issa Kabore, who is currently on loan at Troyes.

According to Fichajes, Inter Milan have set their sights on Issa Kabore. The Manchester City full-back currently plies his trade for Troyes, having joined the club on a season-long loan deal last summer.

A right-back by trade, Kabore has enjoyed immense success at Troyes. He has already become a first-team regular for the Ligue 1 outfit, featuring in 17 league matches and impressing the onlookers with his speed, versatility and attacking prowess out wide. It has put him on the crosshairs of Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri have enjoyed a promising start to life under Simone Inzaghi despite the summer exit of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku. They have replaced their star players very wisely, especially in the right-back position, where Denzel Dumfries has done well to replace Hakimi after initially enduring a slow start to the campaign.

However, it appears Inzaghi is keen on bolstering his options at right-back and offering fresh competition for Matteo Darmian and Dumfries. Kabore fits the bill well as he has exhibited excellent performances in Ligue 1 this term.

Although a right-back on paper, the Burkinabe is often considered as an explosive wide attacker that can bombard the opposition defences with his marauding runs forward. In fact, the youngster is capable of operating as an out and out winger, if required, making him an ideal option for Inter Milan.

Kabore’s current loan at Troyes expires at the end of the season, with the report suggesting there will be talks between the two clubs regarding a potential move in the summer.

Manchester City rate the player highly, but with Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo seemingly immovable in the right-back slot, the 20-year-old might fancy a move elsewhere. The Citizens’ strong full-back setup has already forced them to offload talented wide players in the past, with Angelino notably joining RB Leipzig at the start of 2020.

Issa Kabore could follow a similar path next season as he looks to take the next step in his career. In the meantime, though, the youngster will be keen on ending the season on a positive note, helping a Troyes side that are currently embroiled in a relegation battle.
