Chelsea and Manchester City are among the clubs keeping an eye on Kacper Kozlowski, who is tipped to join a bigger club in the near future.

A new report from Fichajes has offered an update on Kacper Kozlowski’s situation at Pogon Szczecin. Labelled as the next Kevin De Bruyne, the youngster is currently one of the hottest prospects in central Europe, having enjoyed a swift rise to prominence over the past ten months or so.

Manchester City and Chelsea are already among the clubs monitoring Kozlowski’s progress at Pogon Szczecin. The 17-year-old does have a contract with the Ekstralasa club lasting until 2023, but they are indeed forecasted to cash in on the youngster and generate a sizable revenue that is often quite a rare thing in the Eredivisie.

A native of Koszalin, Kozlowski began his career in the youth department of Pogon, before eventually being promoted to the club’s senior side in 2019. The youngster made his professional breakthrough last season, featuring in 20 league matches, scoring one goal and registering three assists.

Although his numbers might not seem all too impressive, the teenage sensation has raised a lot of eyebrows with technical skill and the ability to drift past opposition defenders. It has put a host of top clubs across Europe on red alert, including Chelsea as they look to further improve their options in the creative department.

Kozlowski is unlikely to be considered as a first-team option for the Blues. But the youngster certainly has what it takes to make his presence felt in the Premier League in the coming years.

Not to mention, Chelsea have been quite welcoming to youth players in recent years, with players like Reece James, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and most recently, Trevoh Chalobah all making their breakthroughs within the past couple of seasons.

The Londoners, though, are set to face stiff competition from Manchester City. Kozlowski’s comparisons with De Bruyne have understandably left the reigning English champions intrigued with the Polish prospect, who could prove to be an excellent long-term replacement for someone like Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese international has started consistently but faces an uncertain future at Etihad, amid links with FC Barcelona. His potential exit will certainly open up an opportunity for Man City to sign a young talent like Kozlowski, who has what it takes to become the next big star in Polish football, after Robert Lewandowski.
