Harry Wilson is reportedly set to bring an end to his stint with Liverpool, with a £12 million move to Championship club Fulham on the horizon.

According to a report by Sky Sports, Harry Wilson’s time at Liverpool will come to an end in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old Welsh forward has undergone his medical with Fulham and will join the Championship club in a £12 million deal soon.

Harry Wilson joined Liverpool at the Under-9 level in 2005 before breaking into the Reds’ first-team setup a decade later. However, to date, the Welshman is yet to make his proper breakthrough in the Merseyside club’s senior side, having been sent out on as many as five different loan spells, spending last season with Cardiff City.

As a result, the 24-year-old has managed a grand total of just two appearances and 115 minutes of action with the Liverpool first-team. And as the Reds look to lighten their wage bill and trim their squad at the same time, Wilson’s name appeared near the top of the list of players who have been deemed to be surplus to requirements. This has alerted Fulham.

The Cottagers are back in the Championship after just one season in the Premier League and are starting afresh under the tutelage of Marco Silva. As a result, Fulham are keen on bolstering their attack by signing natural wingers, with Wilson emerging as a viable target for the south London club.

As for Liverpool, they are also in the market for a new wide forward and have even reportedly had a bid rejected for Federico Chiesa. At the same time, they are looking to offload players like Wilson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi, with only Harvey Elliott likely to enjoy a breakthrough in the first-team setup.

Back to Wilson and he is on the cusp of sealing a £12 million move to Fulham. In fact, the 24-year-old Welsh attacker has already undergone a medical with the Championship club after securing permission to leave Liverpool’s pre-season training camp in Austria to seal a switch to Craven Cottage.

With the £12 million move, Wilson will become Fulham’s first summer signing under Marco Silva, as he looks to kick off a new phase in his career. As for Liverpool, they are raking in a decent enough sum in exchange for the Welsh international, with this money possibly helping their transfer spending for the summer.
