Chelsea is set to table a new offer for Achraf Hakimi, including a few players who might interest Inter Milan.

According to Football-Italia, Chelsea are set to make a new offer to Inter Milan for their coveted full-back Achraf Hakimi. Chelsea are ready to offer cash and one player for the Moroccan, while Inter are also given the option to choose from up to three players as part of the deal.

When revealed Inter are willing to let go of Achraf Hakimi to solve their financial issues, top clubs queued up for his signature. After tabling an early offer, PSG were the initial front runners, but Chelsea soon joined the ranks, matching PSG’s original proposal.

Hakimi, having just won the Serie-A title with Inter, was of widespread interest. Real Madrid were initially credited with re-signing their former star, but that has ceded in recent weeks. It now looks imminent that Hakimi will move away from the San Siro, with PSG and Chelsea the front runners.

In line with Chelsea’s new reported offer for Hakimi, it is believed that the Stamford Bridge outfit are prepared to offer €50 million and Emerson Palmieri as part of the deal. However, Chelsea are also ready to offer one of Mateo Kovacic, Davide Zappacosta and Tammy Abraham if Emerson is of no interest to Inter Milan.

However, even if this offer might seem interesting for Inter, the Nerazzurri are still seeking a cash-only deal. They acquired Hamiki from Real Madrid for €40 million and are not prepared to sell him for just a fraction over that sum.

Chelsea’s last reported offer was over £68 million, something Inter would want the Blues to revisit and negotiate again. The problem at Inter is that they need an urgent influx of cash in their system, and there’s no better way than selling some of their prized assets, as it seems.

Will Chelsea go back to Inter with an improved cash-only offer for Hakimi, or will PSG swoop their top full-back target? Either way, Inter Milan believe they can get the best deal out of this transfer war.
