Real Madrid are reportedly ready to part ways with Eden Hazard, whose representatives are also looking for a way out of the club in the summer.

According to a report by Diario Gol, Real Madrid are ready to cut their losses on Eden Hazard with a possible sale in the summer transfer window. The Belgian winger, too, seems to be prepared to leave the Spanish heavyweights, although Zinedine Zidane is keen to keep hold of him.

Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 in a big-money deal, with the 30-year-old completing a dream move to the Bernabeu. Having enjoyed a seven-year spell at Chelsea, where he was their talisman for the longest time, it was believed that Los Blancos finally had their long-sought Cristiano Ronaldo replacement.

However, a spate of injuries have restricted Hazard to a great extent so far, with the Belgian winger yet to showcase his best qualities in Real Madrid colours. These injuries have meant that Hazard has started just 26 of the 75 games that the Merengues have played since his arrival, with his tally at the club so far reading a paltry 3 goals and 7 assists in 31 outings.

As a result, it is now being widely reported that Real Madrid are eager to cut their losses on him and cash in on him in the summer transfer window. There have previously been suggestions that Los Blancos might be ready to offer him in a deal to sign priority target Kylian Mbappe.

With a bid for Liverpool superstar, Mohamed Salah also reported to be in the works, parting ways with Hazard could well be the best move forward for Real Madrid. Having said that, Zinedine Zidane, who is believed to be one of the staunchest supporters of Hazard, wants him to stay put at the club, seeing as his best is yet to come.

Hazard, though, is open to the prospect of leaving Real Madrid, with the report claiming that his stance is such as he feels it might be the best decision for him to revive his career. Having said that, it now remains to be seen if Real Madrid do put Hazard up for sale anytime soon. If so, it will be interesting to see which clubs then make a move for him.
