Niklas Sule is reportedly eager to join Manchester United in the future, with the Premier League heavyweights being his dream club.

According to reliable German journalist Christian Falk, Niklas Sule harbours dreams of joining Manchester United one day. The German international is not currently on the radar of the Premier League heavyweights, who have previously wanted to prise him away from Bayern Munich.

Sule spent the initial years of his senior footballing career at Hoffenheim before popping up on the radar of Bayern Munich a few years ago. The Bundesliga champions roped him in by the summer of 2017 and the 25-year-old has since gone in and out of the side quite frequently, with injuries and other issues hampering his progress.

Till date, Sule has turned out 109 times for Bayern Munich, while also becoming a regular for the German national side. However, just when it looks like he is set to become a mainstay at the back for Die Roten, Sule could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena, if things go his way, with a move to Manchester United a dream of his.

Manchester United were reported to be in the market for a centre-back in the summer transfer window before they decided against signing one. However, before winter arrives, it looks like the Red Devils might well be back in the market for a centre-back again.

Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are surplus to requirements at Old Trafford while Eric Bailly has been an undependable figure for Manchester United due to a spate of injuries. That leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Victor Lindelof and Axel Tuanzebe as the only other central defenders available at his disposal, in addition to captain Harry Maguire.

As a result, Manchester United have been reported to be showing an interest in a few centre-backs, with Raphael Varane touted to be their priority again. However, if Real Madrid are intent on keeping hold of the Frenchman, United will need to scour their options.

The fact that Sule harbours dreams of playing for the club could give Manchester United the impetus to make a move for him, having previously been interested in him, as per The Sun. Having said that, Bayern Munich would likely be desperate to keep hold of the 25-year-old as well.

Jerome Boateng is reportedly set to leave as a free agent and might be on his way to the Premier League, whereas David Alaba is at odds with Bayern over a new deal. Therefore, losing Sule might not really be an option for them, although they could well be helpless if the German international puts his foot down for a move to Manchester United. An interesting saga upon us.
