Potential Liverpool lineup vs Fulham: Keita, Joe Gomez, Henderson fit and likely to start

Jurgen Klopp welcomes back three of his stars back into contention as Liverpool host rock-bottom Premier League outfit Fulham on Sunday.

Despite the shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of FK Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League during the midweek, Liverpool come into the game against Fulham undefeated in the league thus far, with the opportunity of going top of the table, provided other results go their way. Jurgen Klopp has players returning from their injury layoff as well.

Alisson Becker is an automatic choice in goal, as are Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson in defence. The rest of the back four might be a bit shuffled. Trent Alexander-Arnold played during the midweek and could be rested.

In the absence of Nathaniel Clyne, the returning Joe Gomez will take his place, with Joel Matip retaining his spot alongside van Dijk thus far, especially with Dejan Lovren on the sidelines as well.

Jurgen Klopp shed more light on the likes of Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita in his pre-match conference, stating that the only midfielder unavailable right now is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The trio are back in contention and all of them are likely to be pushed into the starting lineup.

“It’s good to have them back, it’s probably the first time that all midfield players apart from Ox are available.”

Adam Lallana played during the midweek but failed to impress. So did James Milner, who could drop to the bench, with Jordan Henderson coming into the lineup. To accompany him, will be a couple of summer arrivals, with Naby Keita and Fabinho likely to be selected by Klopp.

Georginio Wijnaldum is an option as well. But, Fabinho is likely to be given a chance to impress, with Wijnaldum having to make do with a spot on the bench.

In attack, Mohamed Salah looked out of touch against FK Crvena Zvezda and could be rested in favour of a rather more in-form Xherdan Shaqiri. Daniel Sturridge was disappointing as well and should cede his place to Roberto Firmino. Sadio Mane will retain his role out wide on the left.
