Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham are reportedly in race for 15-year-old Sam Lautenschutz, who is currently a part of Dutch outfit Volendam.
If a report from The Sun is to be believed, Premier League giants are in for another cut-throat race for a prodigious youngster. 15-year-old Sam Lautenschutz, who currently plies his trade for Volendam, is drawing interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham as well as Dutch giants Ajax.
The young midfielder has also drawn attention from the likes of Charlton and Leicester. But, it is likely to be an out-and-out race between the Premier League trio of Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham and Dutch giants Ajax.

Chelsea have a recent embellished statistic of producing young generational talents. But, the underlying truth beyond the statistic is that the Blues have often failed to push the youngsters on to the senior level, with several stars having to move elsewhere in search of minutes.
There has been improvement though, with Ethan Ampadu and Ruben Loftus-Cheek coming through.
Despite the unattractive history of promoting young talents into the first-team, Chelsea remain a golden opportunity for budding stars to make use of the state-of-the-art facilities and improve while being hopeful of being an anomaly within the Chelsea loan system, a system that currently has 40 contracted players out on loan. Lautenschutz would not be gunning for his name to be added to the list.
Manchester City do not have a loan system. But, the Pep Guardiola-managed defending Premier League champions have also struggled to retain the young hopefuls, with Jadon Sancho and Bobby Duncan the latest victims of the lack of first-team exposure.
However, the likes of Phil Foden will hope to break the myth surrounding Etihad as Manchester City continue to ramp up their youth recruitment, especially with United coming on strong with their own recruitment drive in the lower age groups.
Tottenham are an interesting predicament and perhaps the only club that can boast of being a top club in the Premier League and pushing youngsters into the first-team setup with huge success. Kyle Walker-Peters and Harry Winks are the latest to make the cut at Spurs, with Mauricio Pochettino doing a brilliant job of promoting young talent while keeping the squad competitive.
Ajax are also keeping an eye on Lautenschutz. The Dutch giants have seen a fair share of their talents being poached by other European clubs and will be looking to strengthen their own setup with the addition of the 15-year-old Volendam star.
Lautenschutz looks like another generational talent. The decision regarding his future is likely to be taken in a month’s and according to the reports, Chelsea lead the race currently. But, the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Ajax will not give up. Transfer battle ensues.
