19-year-old Arsenal wonderkid Kaylen Hinds is set to leave the North London club to make a shock £2 million move to Wolfsburg.

According to a report in The Sun, 19-year-old English wonderkid, who is rated very highly at Arsenal, is set to depart from the North London club in the summer transfer window. The English forward is expected to make a £2 million move to Bundesliga outfit Vfl Wolfsburg.

Hinds has progressed through the ranks at Arsenal, and has been highly impressive in the club’s youth setup, often playing at a level or two above his age scale. The English whizkid famously made his debut for the Gunners’ under-19 side against Marseille four years ago when he was all of 15.

Since then, he has gone from strength to strength as at 19, he played for Arsenal’s under-23 side in the recently concluded season before spending the second half of the campaign on loan with the senior team at League Two club, Stevenage.

During his loan spell with Stevenage, Winds played 13 League Two matches. And while he failed to find the back of the net or provide an assist, his manager at the club Darren Saril was often in high praise of the youngster for his ability to cope under pressure and maturity for his nascent age.

Ahead of embarking on the loan spell to Stevenage, Hinds had also penned a new deal with Arsenal, where his coaches have been touting him to have a bright future. However, his time in North London is now set to come to a shocking end, as the player will make a move to Wolfsburg this summer.

Former Arsenal academy coach Andries Jonker is currently in charge of the Bundesliga club and has taken no time to make the swoop for his former charge. In fact, it was Jonker who initially rated Hinds as one of the brightest sparks at Arsenal and, perhaps, in England.

And Arsene Wenger, too, has agreed to relinquish the services of the player as the move will allow him to play regular first-team football in a tough league next season. Moreover, the 19-year-old can potentially learn a lot as the understudy to veteran striker Mario Gomez who has enjoyed a fruitful international career with Germany.

Wolfsburg are, thus, set to land Hinds in a £2 million deal in the summer transfer window. The player’s move to Germany, though, will be a big blow to Arsenal who were expecting him to be a future first-team star, especially with the Gunners in desperate search of a long-term solution up front.
