Transfer News: Real Madrid, Chelsea and others dealt huge blow in Moussa Dembele chase

Moussa Dembele will be a Celtic player for ‘the next four years’ despite interest from giants of European football, according to his agent

Some of the best clubs in Europe are lining up to sign Moussa Dembele. The likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been linked with the Celtic man, but they’re all set to be dealt a huge blow in his chase.

That is because Dembele’s agent and friend Mamadi Fofana has insisted that Dembele is quite happy in Glasgow. He even added that the 20-year-old intends to see out his contract with Celtic, which still has four years to run.

Speaking to Daily Record, Fofana said, “Moussa doesn’t stress. He signed a four-year deal at Celtic and, in his head, he’ll be at Celtic for those four years. If he has to leave, that will happen at the right time, but it’s not in Moussa’s head or my head.

Fofana further said that the rumours linking Dembele with the aforementioned clubs is nothing short of speculation, adding, “I am not even thinking of the future. I don’t wake up in the morning thinking where Moussa will go in the summer.

“The future does not exist. The past has gone. It’s about being a better player right now. If Celtic ever wants to sell Moussa, it will be a common decision which is taken between everyone.”

The quotes come in the wake of reports that the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in signing Dembele, making the young Frenchman one of the hottest properties in the world right now.

Indeed, his performances this season warrant that, with Dembele one of the most prolific strikers in Europe, having scored a goal every 105 minutes. In all, he has netted 27 goals this term while also recording six assists, with seven of those goals coming in the last three games including hat-tricks in consecutive matches.

All of the aforementioned clubs are reported to be in the market for a striker and have scouted Dembele several times over the course of the season. Chelsea, in fact, made a bid to sign Dembele on deadline day in the winter transfer window before the move failed to materialise.

Dembele is a striker with undoubted potential and is rightly being touted to achieve big things in a promising career. But, it looks like he may not be on the move just yet with Fofana insisting that he’s happy at Parkhead.

It now remains to be seen if any of these clubs make an offer for the highly rated Frenchman when the transfer window reopens in January, or if they turn their attention towards someone else.
