Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with PSG over a move for Lucas Moura as the North Londoners prepare for Alexis Sanchez’s possible departure.

Transfer Market Web have reported that Arsenal have identified Alexis Sanchez’s replacement, should the Chilean force a move away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer, adding that the Gunners have been in touch with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Lucas Moura.

Arsenal Sanchez has been a star for Arsenal ever since his £30 million move from Barcelona in 2014. In just over two seasons at Emirates, the Chilean has established himself as one of the key men in Arsene Wenger’s plans.

And this season, Sanchez has been the most influential player at the club. Wenger has deployed the Chilean as an out-and-out forward for major parts of the campaign and he has responded in fantastic fashion with a return of 13 goals, assisting 8 goals in 20 Premier League appearances.

However, while everything has been hunky dory on the pitch all is not well off it. Sanchez has been involved in a contract standoff with Arsenal, with reports stating that the Chilean wants a significant pay rise on his current £130,000 a week deal at the club.

The reported unrest has now sparked interest in Sanchez, and with less than 18 months left on his contract the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all keeping tabs on his situation at Arsenal.

So, while Sanchez could possibly be on the move to the French capital in the summer, the report from Transfer Market Web states that Arsenal could raid PSG for one of their own players, Lucas Moura, in return to replace their star Chilean.

Brazil international Moura is in his fifth season at PSG since arriving in a £38 million move to the Parc des Prices in 2013, as Les Parisiens shook off interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea to sign the highly rated then 19-year-old winger.

After settling in slowly in the initial stages of his PSG career, Moura seems to have established finally himself at the club this season, scoring two goals and assisting twice in 19 Ligue 1 matches for Les Parisiens.

However, Julian Draxler’s move to the club could see Moura losing his place in the starting lineup to the Germany international, and with Arsenal seemingly interested in the Brazilian, a move to the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards.
