Chelsea are reportedly interested in Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti, who is also on the radar of Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen.
Andrea Pinamonti is a 17-year-old young striker who is part of Inter Milan’s U19 team. He has been on fire this season in the Primavera C, the Italian U19 league, scoring 11 goals and assisting 1 in just 9 matches. Pinamonti’s form has seen him attract interest from a host of top clubs.
Daily Mirror are claiming that Chelsea are showing interest in Pinamonti. The 17-year-old is one of the up-and-coming stars of the Inter youth setup. The report states that Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of the striker, amidst interest from the likes of Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen.
Juventus are always on the lookout for exciting Italian youngsters to add to their youth setup. Bayer Leverkusen, on the other hand, are looking to add a striker to their roster in order to cover for Javier Hernandez and lower the goalscoring burden on the Mexican international.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly well aware of Pinamonti and his abilities as well, and the Italian is looking to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge. It is speculated that a fee around the £400,000 mark would be sufficient to secure a transfer for the player, a fee his suitors would happily shell out for the exciting talent.
Chelsea have the in-form Diego Costa roaring as the lone forward and Michy Batshuayi is prepared to come in from the bench and step in to cover in case of an injury to the Spaniard. But Conte is still believed to be looking for an addition to their attacking arsenal.
The Blues may find it easier to tap into their youth system to bring in one or more of their young talents into the first-team setup to cover in the case of injuries to their main strikers. However the fee quoted is measly, and Chelsea could sign the player as a further show of trust and support to their manager.
