Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Velez Sarsfield’s teenage striking sensation Naza Bazan Vera.
The Sun have claimed that Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in securing the services of Velez Sarsfield’s young striker Naza Bazan Vera. The report added that the player has been watched multiple times by Chelsea and Arsenal’s representatives, who are mulling over tabling an offer for the 17-year-old.
Naza Bazan Vera is the nephew of Daniel Bazan Vera, who has more than 300 league goals to his name while playing in the Argentinian league. The 17-year-old has been touted as a player who has the ability to make an instant impact in Europe, owing to his physique and has drawn comparisons to fellow Argentinian and Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala.
Vera is on the brink of making the first-team squad at Velez Sarsfield after topping the goal-scoring charts in his age group. The Premier League duo face competition from Liga BBVA side Villarreal, who are also interested in bringing the teen sensation to Europe.

The clubs would have to reportedly part with only a minimal amount of money to prize the player away from Velez due to his age, while Vera would not have any problems in gaining a work-permit as he already holds a European passport.
Nera Bazan Vera would hope to emulate the player he has been compared to, Paulo Dybala, who himself moved to Europe at the age of 18 to Palermo before joining current Serie A champions Juventus. The mercurial forward has now established himself as a key player in the Old Lady’s squad at Turin.
It would be interesting if Vera decides to move to Europe right now or stay put at home and develop himself more before making the move. Chelsea and Arsenal are set to have a crack at the player and his current employers Velez Sarsfield, in an attempt to get a hold of him and develop in a better environment with comparatively better infrastructure.
