Graham Potter plays with a back four as Ben Chilwell makes a start and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the attack for Chelsea against Crystal Palace.

Graham Potter has fielded a strong starting eleven for his first Premier League game in charge of Chelsea against Crystal Palace. The manager has seemingly changed the team’s shape, and the Blues will line up in what looks like a 4-3-3. There’s a back four for this clash, with Thiago Silva and Wesley Fofana pairing up at the heart of the Chelsea defence.

Ben Chilwell starts in place of Marc Cucurella, with the Englishman placed at left-back, while Reece James takes up the opposite flank. Potter also has a midfield three in place, which is unusual by Chelsea’s shape in the last few seasons.

Mason Mount starts on the right side of the Chelsea midfield, with Jorginho holding the area in the centre. Mateo Kovacic is the preferred choice on the left, and those three will support actions in the final third. Potter does have a few options on the bench, including Conor Gallager and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Raheem Sterling starts on the left-hand side of the Chelsea attack, with Kai Havertz on the right flank. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line for Chelsea against Crystal Palace. Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Hakim Ziyech are the attacking options on the bench for the Blues.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Kepa, James, Fofana, Silva, Chilwell, Mount, Jorginho, Kovacic;, Havertz, Aubameyang, Sterling
