Marc Cucurella starts his first game for Chelsea, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek gets the nod at right wing-back for the game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made a couple of changes to the side that started the opening day fixture against Everton for their London derby encounter versus Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. Both the changes for Chelsea come in the defensive setup as new signing Marc Cucurella is handed his first start for the Blues, with the Spaniard coming in for Ben Chilwell in the left-sided wing-back slot.

There is a change in the opposite flank as well, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek starts as a wing-back on the right side, with Reece James moving into a centre-back role. Cesar Azpilicueta drops to the bench. Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly retain their places as the two other centre-backs who will be shielding Edouard Mendy in the Chelsea goal against Tottenham.

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho retain their spots in the middle of the park for the home team, with Conor Gallagher an option from the bench. The attack remains untouched as well, with Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling slotting in as the attacking midfielders behind Kai Havertz.

Armando Broja, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic will provide Tuchel with added options in the attacking unit.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, James, Silva, Koulibaly, Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Jorginho, Cucurella, Mount, Havertz, Sterling.
