Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are back in the side, but Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino are benched for Liverpool against Manchester City.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made several changes to the team that started in midweek against Benfica for the FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City at Wembley.

The first three alterations come in defence, where Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson return to the lineup after being rested in midweek. Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas make way, with Ibrahima Konate keeping hold of his place. Alisson Becker continues in goal for the Reds against Manchester City.

Moving into the middle of the park, captain Jordan Henderson has been left out of the starting XI by Klopp. Fabinho replaces the England international at the base of the three-man midfield, while Thiago returns in place of James Milner. Naby Keita has been retained by the Liverpool boss.

In attack, Roberto Firmino, who bagged a brace against Benfica, has been benched by Klopp. Instead, the German has opted to stick with January signing Luis Diaz. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who were not involved in the European encounter, make their expected returns to the lineup in attack. Diogo Jota has recovered from his knock and is on the bench.

Liverpool Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Keita, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz.
