James Milner and Roberto Firmino return, but Sadio Mane drops to the bench as Liverpool prepare to take on Aston Villa at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to the side that was beaten by Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, as Liverpool get set to play hosts to Aston Villa at Anfield. There are no shuffles in goal, as Alisson Becker keeps hold of his spot between the sticks.

The defensive line remains unchanged as well. Ozan Kabak and Nathaniel Phillips continue their partnership at the heart of the Liverpool defence, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson continuing as the two full-backs for the Reds.

The first change comes in midfield, where James Milner has replaced Naby Keita following the Guinean midfielder’s dreadful performance in the midweek fixture. Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum, though, keep hold of their positions in the side, meaning Thiago Alcantara misses out again.

The second and final change comes in the attacking unit, where Roberto Firmino is recalled, with Sadio Mane making way for the Brazilian forward. Firmino’s return means Diogo Jota will shift to the left wing in all likelihood, with Mohamed Salah starting on the right flank.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Jota, Firmino
