Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chosen to start Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Daniel James on the bench as Manchester United face Chelsea.
Two of Manchester United’s three first-team signings start against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are part of a new look back four that inspires confidence, with David de Gea in goal. United do have Ashley Young and Axel Tuanzebe on the bench, with the academy ace preferred over the likes of Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw were two of the best performers for Manchester United in the 2018-19 season and complete the back four. In midfield, the expected names start, with Scott McTominay partnering Paul Pogba in the midfield pivot. Nemanja Matic makes the bench.

The front four has a very dynamic look and affirms to Solskjaer’s demand for press from attack. Andreas Pereira has been preferred over Daniel James on the right, perhaps owing to the factor that the former Swansea man performed better on the left during pre-season. Pereira though, will act more as a number 10, with Lingard being given a free role to press.
Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial complete the front four, with the duo of Rashford and Martial expected to keep rotating their positions, taking turns to lead the United attack against Chelsea.
Manchester United Starting XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Pogba; Pereira, Lingard, Rashford; Martial
